Hi Guys,  since the kernel upgrade the system has been having a huge number of dumps & the performance has gone down drastically.  did some checking on SM50 & DB01, i can see so many locks on the NRIV table.

Has anyone come across this issue before ?

Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLSNR3" - in "READ_NRIV".

The main program was "RBDAPP01 ".

In the source code you have the termination point in line 245

of the (Include) program "LSNR3F01".

The program "SAPLSNR3" was started as a background job.

Job Name....... "Z_AUTOBILL"

Job Initiator.. "BATCHADM"

Job Number..... 15174905

The termination is caused because exception "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB" occurred in

procedure "READ_NRIV" "(FORM)", but it was neither handled locally nor declared

in the RAISING clause of its signature.

The procedure is in program "SAPLSNR3 "; its source code begins in line

240 of the (Include program "LSNR3F01 ".

We have many dumps when run a program in our system R/3 4.6C over V5R3M0.

The many dumps is:

DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR

SQL error "-904" occurred when accessing table "A073 ".

OSS SAP say that i have to delete SQLPKG when the error appear.

I execute this deletion all weekend with DLTR3PKG; but the packages overflow quickly and i can close the system only the sunday.

Any suggestions? i try delete the A073 SQLPKG with the command:

WRKOBJ OBJ(ALL/A073) OBJTYPE(SQLPKG) on-line the last week; and we have many errors after this delete (all process with access to this table not run).

I increase the SQLPKG´s size to 1 GB (note 306823), but the problem persist.

I checked a couple of topics which pertain to this same error. However those concern some other database or OS.

I checked the SAP note 455195 on TSK files which says you get the error if R3load also finds a TSK.bck file in addition to a TSK file during start-up.

In my case that holds true since I can see only the SAPAPPL2.Tsk.bck file present in the SAPinst installation directory. There arent similar .bck for say SAPAPPL0 or SAPAPPL1.

Are there any particular steps to resolve this on V6R1. Can I start a fresh installation without making any changes to the OS/DB ?

Also can anybody please help me with reasons for why SAPAPPL2.TSK.bck was present during the SAPinst load job.

few questions

COnversion NON ASM to ASM storage 11g + 12c

Q1 : Since it is fresh grid install, can I go for 12c grid for standalone (single instance) and can still use 11g DB to use ASM storage??

Q2 : As far as , s/w owner, oracle is required grid s/w owner  for 12c, is it also true for DB s/w owner 12c (if going forward I upgrade to 12c)

If that is the case , My intention / step is to

install 12 grid for standalone ASM instance as oracle user

install 11g on this server as oracle user

create dataguard of my primary DB to this server (and convert NON ASM files to ASM Files)

install 12c DB s/w primary DB node as oracle user 

make a switch and upgrade DB to 12c on new server (which was serving as standby and was on ASM)

Q3 : anything that is needed to chnage when orasid changes to oracle as part of this upgrade or conversion?

I have checked tables the following tables on the database level

(Iseries)...DDNTF, DDNTT, DDNTT_CONV_UC, DDNTF_CONV_UC all have data

and all the DDX* tables are empty. Also the kernel has been updated to

the most current patches available as of a week ago.

I have read through the Unicode conversion troubleshooting guide but

found nothing to assist me with this issue. The environment variable

SAPSYSTEMNAME=<sid> is present as well.

I have a problem, i try to upgrade the kernel and when i execute this command:

CALL QP2SHELL PARM('/QOpenSys/usr/bin/csh' '-c' 'SAPCAR.EXE -xvf ILE.SAR iletools ILE_TOOLS;iletools')

Nothing happend,  still not exist the SAP_TOOLS library, i search logs in WRKSPLF but dont find something related to the error .

I think the error is because the SAPCAR is not installed on the server like a library, i just use SAPCAR.EXE for execute the command.

Someone know the steps to install SAPCAR or using it in AS400?

I'm trying to setup DBACOCKPIT in our Solution Manager to check the database in the other SAP systems, some of them live in remote iSeries. I've seen that a DBCON entry is created like this one:

AS4_HOST=<host>;AS4_CON_TYPE=SOCKETS;AS4_DB_LIBRARY=R3<SID>DATA;AS4_NQE_OPTIMIZE_METHOD=F;AS4_DB_RDBNAME=<SID>;

I've setup the connection with user <SID>ADM.

This connection is failing:

ERROR Database connection %_E30_CS02: ADBC error 'Internal error         16  has occured'

But I cannot find any reason in logs. In SAP wp appears a generic message like 'CPFB752 occured. Refer to job log', but the corresponding log for QXDARECVR is not saved.

If I change the user of connection and I use QSECOFR, the connection works. But I don't know the way to find what authorizations are missing.

Any idea ?

We have a requirement to connect the remote DB DB2 (No SAP) which is on I series from our SAP ECC EHP 5 system so I made a below entry in table DBCON -

Kindlly let us know if I have to put the file dbdb4slib.so in kernel directory and from where I can get this file and if my DBCON entry is correct ?

I've got a problem on a system running 4.6c where a statement

SELECT * FROM afvv

         INTO TABLE afvv_tab

         FOR ALL ENTRIES IN aufpl_pre_tab

         WHERE aufpl EQ aufpl_pre_tab-aufpl.

returns an error code SQL -129  (which means sql statement contains too many tables).

It clearly does not contain too many tables in the SQL statement, and there is only one entry in the internal table aufpl_pre_tab.

If I use strsql to execute the statement

select * from afvv where aufpl='<the value from aufpl_pre_tab>'

it returns correctly the 3 entries that it should.

The system has recently been recovered from a backup after a series of disk failures occurred. I'm told the restore was successful and clean.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

[and yes, I know 4.6c is not supported any longer...]

The production system has been experiencing short dumps in a custom program since 700 Unicode kernel level 252 was applied and IBM PTFs from the Info Apar of 30/3/10 for V5R4M5. The DLTR3PKG was run afterwards.

The WP joblogs show these messages - Row or object NRIV in R3PRDDATA type *FILE in use.  

Record 7703 in use by job 274397/PRD00/WP28.

To fix another program issue from before the new kernel only one instance parameter was changed -

dbs/db4/max_hostvars                        from 2000 to 3000

as these errors were logged  in the WP were logged when the program cancelled with a DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL dump-

Hi Guys,

We have many dumps when run a program in our system R/3 4.6C over V5R3M0.

The many dumps is:

DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR

SQL error "-904" occurred when accessing table "A073 ".

OSS SAP say that i have to delete SQLPKG when the error appear.

I execute this deletion all weekend with DLTR3PKG; but the packages overflow quickly and i can close the system only the sunday.

Any suggestions? i try delete the A073 SQLPKG with the command:

WRKOBJ OBJ(ALL/A073) OBJTYPE(SQLPKG) on-line the last week; and we have many errors after this delete (all process with access to this table not run).

I increase the SQLPKG´s size to 1 GB (note 306823), but the problem persist.

Is there a standard way to delete the job logs XXXBDCLG, XXXJOBLG for a deleted client XXX, in directory    '/sapmnt/<SID>/global',  or this could only be done at the OS level ?

I've installed EHP installer, but when I go in through the web gui <host>4239, I manage to get to the initial page. When clicking on the EHP Installer link, it opens up Java 6 and I then get the following message:

I was looking at usr/sap/trans/log and see a lot of old logs.

I ran tp check all and it created a report

The report showed more than 8,000 log files that can be deleted in the usr/sap/trans/log

Can I delete these old log files or is this going to create more problems for me.
